The former Croatia striker won the Champions League with Los Blancos in 1998 and he believes their desire for success will lead to more silverware soon under Jose Mourinho
Former Real Madrid striker Davor Suker believes his former side will soon be winning the biggest trophies, claiming Jose Mourinho's men now have more hunger than Barcelona.

The Croatian great, who was part of the Madrid side that won the club's seventh Champions League title in 1998, hit 49 goals in 106 appearances for the Spanish side between 1996 and 1999.
In that time, he also picked up one Liga title, one Spanish Supercopa and an Intercontinental Cup crown.
Recent seasons have brought less joy to the capital club as Barca have dominated under Pep Guardiola, but Suker has been impressed with Los Blancos this term.
"Madrid are very strong at the moment," he told Marca in an interview.
"They have gone on a great run of results and that's not by chance; they are first in La Liga and in their Champions League group, playing very good football and scoring lots of goals.
"Real Madrid have more hunger than Barcelona now."
And Suker is sure that Mourinho is the right man to bring the glory days back to the Santiago Bernabeu.
"Mourinho is a winner," he said. "He has come to Spain to win La Liga - and he'll achieve it.
"He is the ideal coach for this team and [Madrid president] Florentino Perez hasn't made a mistake - he signed the best.
"Mourinho's work is still in progress, but I see them winning either the league or the Champions League, and I think they will win La Liga because they are more consistent [than Barca]."
And the Croat claims Madrid can beat Barca by matching the Catalans' peerless possession when the two teams meet in the Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu on December 10.
"It's simple," he said. "You have to take the ball off them and score goals. The team that has possession is the team with the best chance of winning. And Madrid can do that."
Madrid face another of Suker's former clubs, Dinamo Zagreb, in the Champions League on Tuesday night, with kick off at the Bernabeu at 20.45CET.
"Starting last Friday and continuing every Friday through to January, Goal.com will publish extracts from Graham Hunter's highly-anticipated book, Barca: The Making of the Greatest Team in the World, which kicked off with a fascinating segment on Lionel Messi's rise to the top at Camp Nou. Don't miss it!"
